PowerPoint Jigsaw Maker

Please Note: This Add In will NOT work with Macs. and requires at least PowerPoint XP on a PC!

The original template for making puzzles including straight edges and corners is still available and has been updated to include 4 piece jigsaws. It will of course do a good job but it's not the simplest technique to follow and the finished pieces are difficult to scale and cannot easily by adjusted for brightness, contrast and tint (2007 only). This is because they rely on following the background fill. We provide instructions for making "real" pieces independant of the background but this is another level of complication in the template version.

Enter the new Jigsaw Maker.

This uses vba to trim your picture into jigsaw shapes. Real shapes that can be scaled and adjusted with all picture tools in PowerPoint either individually or together. Each piece can take any animation including motion paths and text can be animated with the piece. If you wish you can also make plain pieces or "old style" background fill pieces. The transparent fill option looks great when animated over a picture! The process is as simple as clicking a button and works in PowerPoint 2002 - 2007. You may have met a bug in PowerPoint 2002/ 3 that causes shapes with a background fill to appear solid coloured. This bug is still there even with SP3 but the AddIn has a patch to fix it. What Does it Do

Makes animated jigsaws in PowerPoint (XP onwards only) in seconds. You can choose 4,6,9,or 16 pieces and a variety of types including real picture pieces that can be resized and moved on the slide (NOT background fills although you can make these too!) Animations can be either entrance piece by piece or explode off screen.

Stop Press: NEW version can also create exit piece by piece animations.

You can have text or not as you wish. Text styles and animation effects can be modified freely.

Troubleshooting

There have been hundreds of downloads of our most popular products- this and Page Turns with very few problems. Here are some tips that may help you solve any of the very few problems we have seen.

1. I didn't get a serial number and cannot install
   THE SERIAL NUMBER IS THE SAME AS THE DOWNLOAD PASSWORD.

2. I didn't get the download instructions Email!
   CHECK YOUR SPAM. THE EMAIL IS AUTO GENERATED AND CAN BE SEEN AS SPAM. WE CHECK THE DOWNLOAD DATABASE REGULARLY AND SEND MANUAL REMINDERS.

3. I am getting a message that the number of installations / downloads has been exceeded.
   ONLY 2 DOWNLOADS AND 3 INSTALLATIONS ARE ALLOWED. CONTACT US IF THIS CAUSES PROBLEMS.

4. I cannot find the toolbar!
   IN 2007 IT IS IN THE ADDINS TAB. IF IT DOESN'T SHOW IN EARLIER VERSIONS CHECK VIEW> TOOLBARS AND TICK JSAW

5. I expected to see an exe file in the install folder?
   IF YOU ARE FAIRLY EXPERT THIS IS A REASONABLE ASSUMPTION - BUT THERE ISN'T ONE! THE CODE MODIFIES POWERPOINT AND THERE IS NO VISIBLE EXE.

6. It doesn't work on PowerPoint 97 /2000
   SORRY, IT REQUIRES AT LEAST XP. IF YOU CREATE PUZZLES IN XP OR LATER SOME FEATURES MAY WORK IN EARLIER VERSIONS - WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THIS!

7. I see the picture in my puzzle but it is VERY dark.
   THIS IS PROBABLY A CORRUPT OR UNSUITABLE IMAGE. CMYK IMAGES ARE KNOWN TO GIVE POWERPOINT PROBLEMS AND SHOULD BE AVOIDED. TRY A DIFFERENT IMAGE OR ASK US FOR HELP!

8. Read the included pdf instructions! Yes, I'm guilty too but it helps!
