A "Tab-able" menu in PowerPoint

This is a method of producing a menu slide that you can Tab / Shift Tab between the items and then use the ENTER key to "Fire" the selected item.

First create your menu, at this stage do not create links!

Now over the first menu item insert a blank action button, set the fill transparency to 100% (more fill colors) and size it to be a little larger than the text.

Insert transparent button

Copy this button and paste copies over each menu item resizing if necessary. Now give each button the appropriate hyperlink and set each of the lines to none so the button is invisible.

Run the show and test that using tab / shift tab visibly selects each in turn and then enter runs the link!

Selected menu in show!
