Wrong Right Click Menu

A typical complaint is "When I RIGHT click an object I get a menu that says "Move Here / Copy Here" instead of the "proper" menu.

I Get ...

"Wrong"

I Wanted ...

Right

Most people will explain that "You must have moved the mouse when you clicked. This is not correct (we literally clamped a mouse to the desk to show this).

It is simply how quickly you release the right button. If you hold on for more than a fraction of a second PowerPoint interprets thai and holding down the button and expects you to move to a new area of the slide (with the button down) and Copy or Move the object to the new placement.

To get the "proper" menu simply click and release very quickly - almose stab at the button.
