Semi Transparent Text PowerPoint 2007-2010

Here's the effect I'm looking for "Glassy see through text"

See Through Text

It may not be obvious how to do this so here it is step by step:

  1. Insert your text. Adjust the font and size (mine is Arial Black 96pt)

  2. With the text still selected right click > Format Text Effects. (in 2010Effects > Shadow . Shadow Effects >> Text Fill)

  3. Select Text Outline and change the line color to suit (I used white)

  4. Select Text Fill and adjust the fill and TRANSPARENCY.

  5. If you wish adjust 3D lighting and material.

  6. Close the dialog and apply a Bevel from Text Effects in the Home tab.
